Car Seats

MFD offers car seat checks by appointment only. Contact the administration office at 719-484-0911 to schedule an appointment.

1. Keep kids safe!   There are 4 Stages for kids per Colorado Law.

2. Click it or Ticket! The fine is a minimum of $82.00.

3. The back seat is the safest for kids under the age of 13.

4. Use manual for installation of car seats.

5. It is highly recommended that you do not buy used car seats.

6. The law enacted on August 1, 2010, requires all children under the age of 8 to use child safety seat/booster seats.

7. It is the driver's responsibility to ensure that all passengers are buckled in appropriately.

8. Please see the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) website for recommendations on what to do in the event that the car seat was in an auto accident.
